Authentic 1964 first U.S. pressing of Meet The Beatles! — the album that introduced America to the Fab Four. This copy was pressed at the Capitol Scranton, Pennsylvania plant, identified by the “IAM” triangle stamped in the dead wax and the early matrix numbers T1-2047-P1 / T2-2047-P1.
2nd label mono variant pressings (Scranton) have 'ASCAP' after every title except "I Want To Hold Your Hand" (BMI).
Features the original rainbow Capitol label without the “subsidiary” rim text and without the ® symbol — key indicators of the first 1964 issue. Mono catalog number T-2047, with “Recorded in England” beneath the title.
The jacket carries the RIAA print code #3 (Modern Album Co., Terre Haute, IN) — fully consistent with Scranton pressings from the initial distribution. An absolutely authentic early U.S. Beatles collectible — essential for any serious collection.
