Description

Beatles Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band LP in very near mint condition. Red vinyl pressing.
The sleeve for this LP is in as near to mint condition as I have ever seen for a record of this age. The cover is glossy and shows no signs of ring wear or age marks such as moisture or sun damage, and no storage damage to the top, bottom or spine. Likewise, the inside of the gatefold sleeve is in perfect condition with no damage of any kind to the inner or, as mentioned, outer spine.
The vinyl itself is contained in a plain inner sleeve, and I do not know whether this is original or whether it is a replacement for the red and white inner that is found on some pressings of this album. There are no inserts with this LP, just the sleeve and the record itself in a plain white inner.
The only tiny mark that I can mention to the detriment of the sleeve is a tiny dent / crease to the top right hand corner of the front, which I have photographed next to a 1p coin for scale (picture 6). The mark is not very noticeable and does not detract from the otherwise amazing condition of this sleeve.
The record itself is also in near mint condition, with only one or two very very light surface scratches that have likely occurred at some point when being removed from the sleeve. These marks are only visible under very close scrutiny and are only worth mentioning as I wish to provide an accurate as possible a description for this item. The record plays like new and has obviously been treated with great care over its lifespan. Sound is clear and crisp.
The vinyl is of a relatively heavy weight - 194g including the paper sleeve.   As mentioned in the title, and as pictured, this record is red rather than the usual black and whilst I have tried to research and find out which exact pressing or country of origin this is from, I have not had any luck. The wax is slightly marbled with red and black, as is visible in photograph 3. The only red pressings I have found are the French, Japanese and Australian ones - however the centre label for this record reads "Made in Great Britain", which rules out the French pressing, and the Parlophone logo does not match that found on the Australian and Japanese versions. I have photographed the centre label in case anyone interested has a greater knowledge or ability to research the different pressings than myself.
All in all, a great example of this classic album in lovely condition that would be a great addition to any collection.
I will post this item first class recorded as soon as possible after paypal payment is received. The record will be packaged very carefully and the vinyl removed from the sleeve (inside its inner) to avoid damage to the sleeve in transit. UK bidders only please. No returns on this item.
Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions and I will endeavour to get back to you as soon as I can.
