Description

Here we have a very rare and exclusive demonstration record (red A on both sides!) by The Beatles. This record comprises of two songs as a "Double A Side":

1. We Can Work It Out

2. Day Tripper

From a 60's Radio 1 DJ's collection, now being split up and sold on ebay.

The record is by the label "Parlophone" it reads "Demonstration Record  Not For Sale" with the large, red A on each side and "Northern Songs NCB"

It's dated 3.12.65.

The record is in alround very good condition, both sides have very slight surface marks. To my ears, We Can Work It Out sounds perfect although there is slight crackle at the start of Day Tripper.

I have searched around for any indication of what this record would be worth and have been unable to find a Demonstration Record of this anywhere, this could be one of the only ones left around!

Through sorting out some books I came about an 11 year old price guide, it turns out that this record was worth £350 11 years ago. Imagine how much it's worth now!

The record has the letters "KT" on both sides of the record just outside of the label, on the plastic. 

I Imagine these are the embossed letters.

 

The record comes in a record sleeve, it's a plain white record sleeve and I don't think it's ever been changed so it's probably the original sleeve.
