Description

Here it is, as the Perry Cox guide states, it is "the first and rarest" copy of Meet the Beatles. Issued before The Beatles performed on the Ed Sullivan Show, this copy has no "subsidiary" mention around the label rim and it has the six songs on each side without any BMI or ASCAP mention. In addition, there is no mention of George Martin, as later copies did. This is a copy of "Meet the Beatles" in Stereo that was issued on January, 20,1964. It has been speculated that about 20,000 copies of the MONO copy were issued, and since most young record buyers of the time did not own stereo equipment, only about 2,000 of these STEREO copies were issued on January 20, 1964.
This copy of the vinyl is in VG condition, and it plays VG and better with some slight surface noise. The cover is in VG+ or VG++ condition. There is just a little wear in the top 3" of the spine, hardly noticeable!
Also comes with the original blue Capitol inner sleeve!

A great, early souvenir from the very first day of Beatlemania in the U.S.!

Shipping/handling will be $4.00 Media Mail within the U.S.
