Description

Be careful with this release! There are many variations...make sure you are dealing with a TRUE autumn 1963 1st release. Perimeter text must read "Parlophone"..."recording 1st published" must exhibit. Further proof of very earliest 1st press....tax code "MKT"..Matrix 1N/1N and then they've employed the smaller font. Nothing exists earlier than this version...But there are MANY later copies! Comes housed in an original cover with flipbacks and curved ends - printed by Garrod. Please note that many early 45's from the BEATLES will be wrecked by this point in time. What you have here is a collector copy..high-level-preservation.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close  inspection there are a couple of light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT player. Very little to find fault. Just plays clean and clear..from start to finish. You might detect a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side [e.g. openings seconds of 'Anna'. But basically this is the sort of standard every collector should be aiming at.
Cover (Ex) Very very rarely do you see a true original this well preserved. Has not been bent torn and contorted - this copy has been looked after. First thing..there's hardly any ageing apparent...very unusual! Front is unaged without creasing. The corners are all pointed and there's no edge wear. The edges are firm and openings sharp. The rear exhibits hardly any ageing. Only detractor a tiny mark between the two bodies of text [toward the top]. All flipbacks are secure and intact. Beautifully preserved.
