No doubt, one of the Iconic albums of the 20th Century, ‘Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ was released by EMI/Parlophone UK on the 1st June 1967, in both mono and stereo formats. The album went straight to Number one, and dominated the top position in the charts for 23 weeks!

Album Description and Condition:

This First Issue **Stereo** LP is on the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd label’ rim, ‘Sold in the UK….’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ printed to both sides of the record labels labels.

Both record labels are in stunning Mint Minus condition, beautiful bright undamaged Parlophone record labels, showing only a couple of light play signs to the centre of each label.

Side 1 stamped matrix: YEX 637-1 and Side 2: YEX 638-1.
Side 1 stampers: 2 P and Side 2: 2 O.

There is an embossed KT Tax Code visible on the centre of the side 2 record label.

Both sides of this stunningly beautiful LP are in truly Mint condition, beautiful, clean and bright vinyl surfaces to both sides, with not a single mark visible.

As expected the LP plays throughout from beginning to end without faults, a stunning sound quality from this hardly played LP.

The Vinyl LP comes in it’s original Made in Gt Britain Pink & White Flame Inner Bag which is in undamaged Near Mint condition, no seam splits or tears, just light creases, and also includes it’s original SGT Pepper unused card cut-out, which is in Mint condition.

And are protected in it’s original First Issue Fully Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Internal flip back, **WIDE SPINE** Gatefold Sleeve correctly printed ‘PCS 7027 Stereo’ to the reverse.

When you place the regular spine version and the wider spine version together, you can clearly see the difference in the width, (see scan below).

This beautiful original Gatefold Sleeve has the rarer wider spine edge, and is in truly immaculate Mint Minus condition. This sleeve is by far the best condition seen for a long time and still retains its very deep gloss laminate to the front, inner gatefold and reverse, with no fading to the colours, and only very mild LP storage signs to the reverse. There are no seam splits to any of the edges, and just a couple of very, very mild corner bumps.

The inside part of the Gatefold Sleeve is also in pristine Mint Minus condition, and the two internal fold over flaps are undamaged and show a couple of mild rub marks. The wide spine edge is clean, firm and undamaged, and clearly reads 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'.

A complete and immaculate example of this Stereo version of The Beatles 1967 UK Album 100% ORIGINAL and COMPLETE, with a rare wide spine gatefold sleeve.
