The BEATLES Please Please Me MONO PMC 1206
This is a FANTASTIC 6th pressing copy, with excellent mono audio and an excellent+ Garrod & Lofthouse tri-flipback cover with a LARGE MONO on the front and ultra rare (for this label design)
XEX 422-1N matrix on side 2
This copy has the following features:
- Parlophone yellow/black labels with ‘Sold in UK ------- across the middle indicating a post 1964 pressing.
- Side 1 has an extra dot ‘Sold in.U.K ----------
- Side 1 has XEX 421-1N matrix and 1 ROO stamps
- Side 2 has XEX 422-1N matrix with 1 RPM stamps (usually XEX 422-2N with these 6th pressing labels*)
- KT tax code embossed on side 1 label
Excellent, clean labels with minor spindle trails only.
Excellent, clean looking vinyl with minor superficial scratches.
Excellent audio, plays as good as the day it was pressed.
A SUPERB cover with LARGE MONO on the front, intact spine and fresh looking corners, one of the best 1960s tri-flipback covers you will ever see!
A near perfect EMITEX tracing paper style inner sleeve.
OVERALL, a very nice, collectible copy of PPM in outstanding condition for a 50 year-old LP record with a possibly unique side 2 matrix for a copy with this label.
*According to www.beatlebay.co.uk XEX 422-2N matrix for side 2 started with 4th/5th pressings.
