THE BEATLES: ‘PLEASE PLEASE ME’ – AN ORIGINAL AND BEAUTIFUL 1963 UK BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE 5th PRESSING STEREO VINYL LP – CATALOGUE NUMBER, PCS 3042.
This is an original and very, very nice 1963 UK fifth pressing **STEREO** Vinyl LP for The Beatles Debut UK Album Release ‘Please Please Me’, and was first released in the UK on the 22nd March 1963.
The LP comes with the traditional Black & Yellow Parlophone Labels, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd’ label rim, with ‘Recording First Published 1963’ and ‘Made in Gt. Britain’ label text, and comes in its original E.J. Day Ltd London large stereo three flip-back front laminated picture sleeve.
Both record labels are in beautiful Near Mint condition, clean record labels, clear printed silver text showing only a few very light centre spindle lines.
The side 1 matrix reads YEX 94-1, and side 2 matrix reads YEX 95-1.
Side 1 machine stampers are 1 G M, and side are 1 L. There is also an *MZT* Tax Code visible at the centre of the side 2 label.
Both sides of the vinyl LP are in beautiful Excellent Plus to Near Mint condition, the heavyweight vinyl LP is free from scratches and scuffs and looks beautiful on both sides and shows only a few very light surface hairlines.
The LP plays with a clear sound quality from beginning to end.
The LP comes in it’s use Emitex poly lined Printed Bag and is housed in its original E.J. Day large ‘STEREO’ printed sleeve with three flip-backs to the reverse. The E.J. DAY Picture sleeve is in immaculate Excellent Plus to Near Mint condition, a really beautiful glossy front panel with just a mild crease to the bottom right corner, see scan, with no fading to the rich colours.
The reverse panel of the sleeve is extremely clean and white with hardly any of the usual handling signs, with an original record shop sticker, both edges, the spine edge are undamaged .
