I offer for sale a very fine original UK copy of The Beatles 1st Album PLEASE PLEASE ME on the Black & Gold Parlophone Label. This is a first pressing of PMC 1202 Mono from 1963. It is in superb condition. Th vinyl LP is Ex+ with only light surface marks and absolutely no scratches or other significant marks, both sides play perfectly. The labels are Ex+ and blemish free with no signs of playwear.The sleeve is Ex+ with near perfect laminate lustre no creasing and the rear shows no discolouring. The spine is perfect. The inner sleeve is the original polythene lined "Use Emitex" diecut sleeve which is Ex+ The first pressing matrix numbers are XEX 421-1N and XEX 422-1N. The label text includes "The Parlophone Co Ltd" but has no reference to "Sold in UK" as per later pressings. Credits include "Dick James Music Co" Publishing for Please Please Me, I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Do You Want To Know a Secret and There's a Place. The Sleeve is printed by Ernest J.Day & Co Ltd London. This is a very rare and sought after original UK Beatles Album in this condition. Very collectable and second in rarity only to the Stereo version. The starting price as been set at just under £50. to give the auction momentum. There is an appropriate reserve on the LP.
