THE BEATLES: ‘PLEASE PLEASE ME’ – RARE 1965 UK PARLOPHONE SIXTH PRESSING BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE MONO VINYL LP – PMC 1202

HARD TO FIND SIXTH UK PRESSING, GRAMOPHONE RIM WITH SOLD IN UK… LABEL TEXT

This is a RARE 1965 SIXTH PRESSING for The Beatles Debut UK Album ‘PLEASE PLEASE ME’.

The Vinyl LP is on the traditional BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim and with the added ‘Sold in UK….’ label text.

Both record labels are in Near Mint condition, very clean record labels, showing only a few light centre spindle lines.

The Official side 1 matrix is XEX 421-1N/Side XEX 422-2N.

Side 1 stampers are 10 RHG, and Side 2 stampers are: 6 GA.

Side one of the vinyl disc is in very nice Excellent Plus condition, very clean glossy vinyl surface, showing a couple of light non sounding surface hairlines. Side two of the vinyl disc is visually in better condition, with no marks and is Near Mint condition.

The album plays extremely well through all the tracks, with a powerful sound quality.

The Use Emitex inner bag is an excellent example with just light creasing, and a tiny tear to the middle.

The Garrod and Lofthouse picture sleeve is in Excellent Plus condition, the front panel is CLEAN and BRIGHT, with minimal record indentation.

The spine edge is clean and undamaged, and the wording clearly readable.

The reverse panel of the sleeve is clean, showing only light handling marks to the opening edge, and light age signs to the flipbacks, otherwise all three flip backs are undamaged.

This sixth Pressing MONO version of Please Please Me is one of the HARDER TO FIND UK Variants of The Beatles First album, and this example is in very nice condition too.
