Description
THE BEATLES PLEASE PLEASE ME Original mono vinyl LP Record 1963 Black & Yellow label. PMC 1202. The 1963 1st to 3rd pressing have the famous black and gold label. This is still a 1963 record but a fourth pressing. The text round the edge of the label starts with The Parlophone Co Ltd. Later pressings start with The Gramophone Co. All this information is available on Google if you want to check it out.
Cover Printed by Ernest J Day & Co. Ltd. London. Later copies were printed by Garrod & Lofthouse. Laminated front in Good condition. The Spine also in good condition but wear to bottom and top corners. a few creases at top and bottom joins. Along the bottom in particular where it is joined there is creasing and wear and tear. The two front corners are worn, the bottom one in particular is worn. No major defects, The card used for the Cover is very thick and consequently flat and no heavy creases. I am extremely fussy and will try and show in pics what I’m trying to explain above.
The inner sleeve apart from looking a bit aged is in excellent condition.
The actual record is on a very thick vinyl and as mentioned in first para dates it self from 1963 Doesn’t have Sold in the Uk statement. Their are 3 visible hair scratches on side 1 and 4 on side 2. From memory they played well but it’s been a while....
So this is where it all started 55 years ago, truly a piece of history that’s already increasing in value. Can’t believe it’s that long ago but hey
