The Beatles: Parlophone EP 8882 Twist and Shout in NM++ condition!!
One of many EPs used for label ID work in Bruce Spizer's 2011 Beatles For Sale On Parlophone Records (ISBN-13: 978-0-9832957-0-9), located on page 352. My acknowledgement can be found on forward page iv. The photo showing all these EPs on the floor, are amongst the many used to create the label IDs on pages 353 through 355. The first press label IDs are shown from page 352 of Bruce Spizer's book.
This offering is:
The Beatles - Parlophone EP Twist and Shout GEP-8882.MR1A(vi) 6th label. (Spizer ID). This is the 6th label variant of the 1st batch of 9 label versions for non S.I.U.K. (no Sold In the UK on center) - Second Pressing. Center knockout embossing is KT
Matrices are: 7TCE 762 - 2N and 7TCE 763 - 1N. Side 1 Mother = 2 over 4, Stamps: GOM (154), Side 2 Mother = 0 or 6, Stamps RPG (261). These are moderately high stamper numbers and mother numbers.
Stamps are derived from Gramophone LTD codes G=1, R=2, A=3, M=4, O=5, P=6, H=7, L=8, T=9, D=0.
The record disc is exceptionally clean, as are both side labels. Quality grading is NM++. Record jacket is MC1A Garrod (rounded corners on over-flaps) in VG++ to NM- overall condition!
