Description
This is the 1970 Polydor Records release "The Beatles - In the Beginning (Circa 1960)" The LP represents the first time that all eight of the group's Hamburg recordings on one album. What's special about this copy is that I had Pete Best (who is featured on all eight of the tracks) sign the inside gatefold during one of his appearances at a Chicago Fest for Beatles Fans. Best has signed with a black sharpie on the right side of the inside gatefold cover in a white area. The cover which, if you use Bruce Spizer's numbering system is POL.4504.SC1 is fully intact but does have some spine wear along with light yellowing to the back cover and someone has taken a ball point pen and written "$1.00" on the bottom right corner. Inside gatefold is very nice. The vinyl itself is the harder to find Capitol Record Club issue (Spizer CRC 93199.SRI) with Mfd. By Capitol Records, Inc on the label and the number SKAO 93199. For the most part the vinyl is beautiful however there are a few play marks that keep the record from being, safely, anything higher than a VG to VG+. While other copies of this album can be found, it's doubtful you'll find one that's autographed by a member of the band. Pete Best's signature alone adds nice value to this 50+ year old LP. Enjoy the low opening bid. Don't hesitate to contact me for further information or additional photography. Happy Bidding!
