Description
The Beatles, Please Please Me Parlophone (PMC 1202), 1963 Mono
This is a collectable early mono pressing - likely a 3rd pressing based on the details below:
Matrix numbers: XEX 421-1N / XEX 422-1N
Black label with yellow logo and silver print. "The Parlophone Co. Ltd." printed at the perimeter. No "Recording first published 1963" or "Sold in UK" text. KT tax code postage style stamp on rear cover. Ernest J. Day & Co.
Not tested, however both record and sleeve are in fairly poor condition and the inner sleeve is missing.
Visually the record appears playable, though with a number of scuffs and scratches. It would also benefit from a clean.
Laminated sleeve is split and very worn on the edges, with some creasing to the front and storage marks and biro markings to the rear, as shown in the pictures.
