Hello Beatles fans. This record has been one of the joys of my collection and on the few times I have played it, it feels like enjoying a very significant piece of rock history. I have been buying and selling records on Ebay for years now and sometimes I have been happy with purchases and sometimes not so I am going to list this exactly as it is so you know exactly what you are bidding on. First off the sleeve is one of the best I have seen, original first Earnest J. Day and Co with the photo credit far right at the bottom under the 'S' of songs. It's mostly clean with a few little marks (nothing to write home about as you can see from the pictures). It's all still nicely glued together and the corners are OK as well with obvious but relatively minimal wear. There is no ring wear. The spine is straight and completely read-able with all words totally intact and bright. The inner sleeve is very clean and a nice example. I have rated the vinyl as VG, the record has been played many times and has a lot noticeable surface marks when held under bright light and a couple of very fine scratches. The full scale pictures of the vinyl record itself I took were a little dark so I brightened them hence the sheen around the edges :) ! I have played the record all the way through and it does not skip or jump. There is some sibilant distortion in the vocals mainly in the loud vocal sections (in my opinion a copy without this is a very rare find these days) however this record totally kicks butt when played, especially on a mono system where sibilance is vastly improved. Stampers are side 1 - 1G and side 2 - 1R, an early copy with all the Dick James publishing credits. I have recently had it cleaned on a Keith Monks record cleaner.
