You want to own the best pressing of this album? Well you’d have to spend over a grand, so here’s your best option! Many 60s copies of this album are worn out and full of surface noise, ruining the experience of this recording. The 2014 Beatles in Mono box sought out to have the same quality of sound while making a new record. Rather than using the 2009 digital sources (like the 2012 Stereo Vinyl Box), the team at Abbey Road chose to go with the original analogue masters instead, giving every album an audiophile quality that is hard to beat. Although this particular album was in need of a copy tape due to tape wear, it still sounds as fresh and clean as the UK originals. The warmth and the sound on this pressing is unbelievable! Why spend over $1000 on an original gold label, that more than likely has a field of scratches or marks, when you can get this copy instead?
The vinyl appears to be unplayed, but should have an anti-static brush run through it. The sleeve has some damage, including corner dents. However, dont let that take the experience of great sound quality away from you - this is your chance to own a beautiful sounding copy of Please Please Me!
