The Beatles - Please Please Me - Original 1963 1st Press LP
- This is a lovely 1st Press version of the 1st Beatles' album on the incredibly rare Black & Gold Parlophone label (Catalogue No. PMC 1202).
Sleeve - EXCELLENT
- Heavyweight laminated E.J. Day sleeve is in remarkable condition for a 46-year old!
- The front laminated side has a lovely sheen and there's just a few minor crease marks and slight scuffing at corners.
- The words 'Photo: Angus McBean' are in bottom right corner, starting below & after 's' of 'songs'.
- The rear sleeve is also superb with just a few small crease marks on the flipbacks.
- The words on the spine are still completely visible.
Inner Sleeve
- Original EMITEX inner is in EXCELLENT condition.
Vinyl - VERY GOOD+
- Heavyweight Vinyl.
- There are some surface marks & light scratches visible but I have just played all the way through and there are absolutely no jumps - just some light crackle & a few pops here and there.
- Matrix Nos:
Side 1: XEX 421-1N with stampers 'G o' @ 3 o'clock & '2' @ 9 o'clock
Side 2: XEX 422-1N with stampers - hard to see but looks like '1' @ 3 o'clock & 'H' @ 9 o'clock.
Labels - VG+
- In great shape - at some time someone wrote name on A-side label but this is only visible up-close. There is some spindle wear.
- Overall, sleeve is superb and record plays with no significant deterioration in sound quality
- A must for any Beatles' collector.
