Description

For auction is a super nice copy of a 1982 Japanese red vinyl mono reissue of The Beatles - PLEASE PLEASE ME (EAS-70130). I will be offering a number of the 1982 and 1986 Japanese red vinyl mono reissues from my personal collection over the coming weeks. All have been treated with tender loving care and are in great condition.

These Japanese red mono pressings are my favorite reissues of the Beatles' mono records for their excellent sound quality, whisper quiet surfaces (Aurex vinyl is unbelievably silent), quality cover art reproductions, and of course the simply gorgeous translucent red vinyl, as seen one of the photos. I'm selling these copies because they are spares and I can no longer justify keeping them around as "back up" copies.

Condition of this item:

  • Vinyl and labels - solid NM
  • Cover - VG+ and a very conservative rating...really it is somewhere between NM and VG+, what many call "EX" or "NM-" but since those are not official Goldmine categories I use VG+. Basically there are a few subtle signs of wear on the cover photo (no "ring wear"), with a bit of yellowing of the white areas, but no writing, stickers, major dings, etc.
  • Lyric sheet insert - solid NM
  • Obi - included, in VG+ condition (you can see on the photo of the back cover some edge wrinkling and yellowing of the obi)
