• KT tax code on side 1 label

  (side 2) XEX 422-2N (the 2N is the allegedly rarer over-printed 2N)

  (side 1) 3 ‘o’ clock position RHR; 9 ‘o’ clock position 1 5 or I 5 (it’s hard to tell)
  (side 2) 3 ‘o’ clock position T; 9 ‘o’ clock U (possibly, again it’s hard to tell)

 Disc: Side 1

Just a few light scratches and hairline marks here and there. The overall ‘sound’ of the disc is great – loud, punchy and dynamic; the music just hurtles from the speakers; Very presentable…clean and shiny. A few spindle marks on the label…The disc lies flat.

Disc: Side 2

A few minor surface marks – very acceptable as per side 1. Again, some spindle marks on the label; nothing to worry about at all.

Cover: Front

Fully laminated with no rips, writing or sticker residue; No laminate lift; Corners are a little worn (i.e. not quite square) but nothing serious; Angus McBean photo credit in bottom right corner.

Cover: Rear

Unlaminated (apart from the three flaps); No rips, writing or sticker residue. However, because it’s unlaminated and because it’s white it does show some mild age discolouration (it’s difficult to find these in anything approaching a pristine white condition!).

‘Garrod & Lofthouse’ printing and manufacturing credit at bottom right. All-in-all, a respectable example of this Beatles record.

Spine

Fully intact – see photo

Inner Bag

Original and correct ‘tracing paper’ style “Use Emitex…” bag with some age discolouration and a split in the bottom. Nonetheless, a very acceptable example…
