Description
The Beatles, Please Please Me. Original Master Recording. Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab.
Original rice paper record sleeve and record protector insert.
Cover has some slight bend creases on the bottom right and left corners. Bottom edge shows wear.
VERY IMPORTANT! Although this Lp is in Ex minus condition, 2 songs ANNA and CHAINS are not in excellent condition. Some how, something or another put 2 nicks in Anna and 2 nicks in Chains.
Anna has one "pop" and 2 "ticks", not too bad. Chains has 5 "ticks" and 4 "pops" and sadly, the 4th "pop" jumps the needle one groove. Fortunately, these 2 songs are covers and not Beatles written songs and are not all that critical in their catalog.
The good news with this album is that of the 14 songs, 12 songs play in an excellent manner! The essential songs, Please Please Me, I Saw Her Standing There, Love Me Do, P.S. I Love You and 4 other Beatles written songs are worth "the price of admission" when buying this album.
I own the MoFi Beatles Black Box Set and IMO, the Please Please Me Lp has the BEST fidelity and dynamics of all the albums. Reason? Old early 60s tube technology, recorded live in the studio and minimal over dubs = best sound.
