Description
The Beatles – Please Please Me
Original UK 1963 Mono album – PMC 1202
Yellow and Black Parlophone label
Matrix numbers: Side 1 XEX421–1N, Side 2 XEX422-1N
This is a great copy of 'Please please Me' by The Beatles which I have owned from new.
The original laminated sleeve is identified by a print mark Photo: Angus McBean on the front side (lower RH corner). On the rear of the main sleeve is the print mark “Printed and Made by Ernest J Day & Co Ltd London – PMC 1202 PCS 3042” in the lower RH corner. The main sleeve is in very good condition with some ageing and wear marks around the edges. The words Please Please Me – The Beatles are clearly visible on the spine.
The inner poly lined sleeve includes the print mark “Patent applied for” and also includes lots of important information about how to look after your album and equipment. There is a slight tear near the centre of the sleeve but overall it is in very good condition.
The thick vinyl album is on the yellow Parlophone label and is in good condition. There is some crackle between tracks and a mark on side 1 causes some clicks from tracks 3 to 6. There are no jumps or skips and overall it still sounds great.
Tracks
Side 1, I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, Anna, Chains, Boys, Ask Me Why, Please Please Me
Side 2, Love Me Do, PS I Love You, Baby It’s You, Do You Want To Know A Secret, A Taste Of Honey, There’s A Place, Twist And Shout
Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
