I am selling our GOLD PARLOPHONE label copy of Please Please Me by The Beatles.

This is being sold as seen. Please look very carefully at the photos before bidding. This is a private listing, and I am not in a position to accept returns.

There is a scratch on side 2 of the record, and I have been advised that it is unlikely that the first 2 tracks on that side will play. This is reflected in the asking price. (If the scratch was not there this item would be valued much higher.) Sadly I cannot confirm this as we do not own a record player.

I am truly reluctant to sell this, as it belonged to my late father, who grew up on Merseyside when The Beatles first came about. Therefore I am not prepared to take any offers lower than the original asking price.

This item is also a collect in person item. We live in Devon (TQ12), and I am happy to arrange an exchange at a destination no further than Exeter, if this helps a potential buyer.

I am not desperate to sell this. It has huge sentimental value to me. However, I do believe that if someone really wants this then it should go to a new home where it will be loved. That's what my Dad would have wanted.
