Description
The Beatles Vee Jay 581 White Label Promo “Please Please Me”/“From Me To You” 1964
History: As the Beatles swept into America in early 1964, Vee-Jay Records pressed numerous variations of this single with varying logos and label colors including black, yellow, purple and the circular rainbow design.
Some were distributed with one of two different picture sleeves. Others came in a red and black Vee Jay Singles of Significance sleeve.
This copy: Belonged to a longtime Massachusetts disc jockey and collector who died in 2024. It is a white label promotional copy distributed to radio stations in 1964 and is in its original Vee Jay sleeve.
Vinyl: Looks and plays in solid VG+ condition. It has also been cleaned in an ultrasonic record cleaner.
Labels: No ink, tags or tears. Minor ring wear only.
Sleeve: No notable tears or seam splits. No ink or tags.
