Please Please Me b/w Ask Me Why by 180-gram, 7" Vinyl Single, November 2019 (US), Italy Parlophon (ParloPhone) Records (PDP 5092)
The exclusive single from The Beatles 'THE SINGLES COLLECTION' The 2019 remastered 1963 Italy Parlophon (Parlophone) Records release with its original Italian Parlophon Records Picture Sleeve Vinyl sounds great, picture sleeve looks amazing. 'THE SINGLES COLLECTION' is a box set of The Beatles 22 UK singles, plus, a bonus special-edition compilation single.
The singles were all newly remastered, and the cover art for each single was from a different country. The boxset was released on November 22nd, 2019.
The record grades Mint. It has been played once to verify sound quality of the single. No scratches or Pops.
The Vinyl single Labels are Mint. No marks, no scratches, no writing.
The picture sleeve is Mint. No seem splits, no writing, no wrinkles or visual ware at all.
Included: -- Plastic sleeve covering to protect both picture sleeve and Vinyl 7" single. -- Vinyl 7" single kept in separate protective paper sleeve.
The A-Side: "Please Please Me" is a song first released in 1963. Written by John Lennon and Credited to the Lennon/McCartney writing team. Originally released on January 11, 1963, chronicling John's attempt to write a Roy Orbison inspired song.
The original 'moody Roy Orbison inspired ballad version' was recorded on September 4th, 1962. The energy of the song was not 'inspiring' according the sound engineers, noting it needed 'pepping up'. Then, in November 26th, 1962, capturing the exciting rearrangement, it took 18 takes to record what George Martin immediately predicted would be their first major hit.
The B-Side: "Ask Me Why" Written It was written primarily by John Lennon and credited to the Lennon–McCartney partnership, originally released in the United Kingdom as the B-side of their single "Please Please Me". It was also included on their 1963 debut album Please Please Me.
The song was subsequently included on the band's various compilation albums.
