Description
Please have a look at my other rock vinyl records for sale. I have a number of Prog/ Psychedelic/ Heavy/ Folk Rock LPs for sale. Some are 1st issues in great condition.
Hopefully the photos show the overall condition of this offering.
This is a very rare LP by the Beatles. There are none the same for sale on sale on Discogs and none of the same issue on here. There are 4 other versions currently but not the same issue.
Please refer to the video and photos for an understanding of the condition.
This is graded VG for the vinyl and VG+ for the cover. The record has numerous superficial marks to the playing surfaces causing crackle at times, one small jump and one stick. It can still be played and the majority enjoyed.
If you are looking for a perfect player this is not for you. That said the rarity of the LP makes it an attractive option for any Beatles fan or rock / pop vinyl collector.
It is a German issue from 1972
SHZE327 A-1 and B3 in true stereo.
Here is a bit of background to the record……..
“In September and October of 1971, George Martin undertook a project to remix several Beatles songs into stereo. On September 30, “Penny Lane” was mixed, followed by “Baby, You’re A Rich Man” on October 22, and “Strawberry Fields Forever” on October 26.
These newly-mixed stereo versions were initially released on the German pressing of “Magical Mystery Tour Plus Other Songs“. The stereo mix of “Penny Lane” was released on the UK version of the Blue album in 1973. The stereo mix of “Strawberry Fields Forever” was released in the UK on some reissues in 1976. The three stereo mixes were included in the CD releases from 1987 onwards.
