The Beatles "REVOLVER" Capitol ST 8-2576 Capitol Record Club Edition Early stereo pressing with black rainbow swirl label.
As the mail was much slower in the '60s than the shipping times we take for granted today, plus new releases weren't generally available in the various record clubs until weeks after they were in the retail shops, most people who wanted the latest Beatles album had already bought it. Consequently, record club versions of the Beatles' albums are literally now worth 10 times their retail counterparts. The Capitol Record Club issues are easily identified by 3 diagonal stripes along the top left of the jacket, and the "8" prefix before the standard catalog numbers (in this case ST 2576 is ST 8-2576). This is an above average specimen. The jacket is nearly a VG+ weren't it for a fraying lower left corner which I have tried to illustrate as good as possible in the photos. Overall the spine is solid except for the 3/4" area at the bottom. The front and rear cover have minimal wear. The vinyl shines like a mirror! You can see this in the photos. A minimal of light surface marks; this record should play and sound terrific!
