FIRST UK PRESSING 1966

Side 1: YEX 605-1  (1  GM)

Side 2: YEX 606-1  (2  GL)

 

This copy of REVOLVER in stereo dates from 1966 and is a truly superb example. The VINYL looks brilliant, a lovely clean sheen with very minor surface marks. The AUDIO does have a few single, separate clicks on both sides but the stereo separation and clarity is phenomenal and I will grade this audio as EX+. (I have bought and played NEW MINT LPs with more audio ticks and clicks than this one)

 

Both labels are near mint with barely a mark on them or around the spindle hole, side 1 has an extra dot on the label text going across the label and KT embossing. On side 2 label DR ROBERT on a stereo pressing is very rare as most stereos have the corrected ‘DOCTOR ROBERT’

 

The plain white inner sleeve designated with these LPs had ‘MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN’ and ‘PATENTS APPLIED FOR’ in small text at the bottom. This is a very rare unmarked and unripped example with some slight off white fading only.

 

The Garrod & Lofthouse ‘stereo’ cover is the original 1966 tri-flipback laminated UK version. A lovely clean and white example with strong flipbacks and a lovely proud spine. There is some very slight laminate creasing and discolouration, mild edge and corner wear and on the back above the side two track listing on the black section of the cover, there is evidence of a small label removal. This is a minor blemish and  doesn’t detract from the quality of the cover which easily rates as EXCELLENT.

 

A truly excellent + ‘stereo’ first press REVOLVER with many great collectible features.
