LP Title : Rubber Soul
Label : Parlophone / PMC 1267 / 1965 / MONO
Matrix Numbers : XEX 579-4 [mother: 7 ][stamper: GHA ] / XEX 580-4 [mother: 2 ][stamper: GRT ]
Notes : Original 2nd Mono Pressing with black & yellow Parlophone labels, with 'The Gramophone Co.' text around the rims and 'Sold In UK...' text across label centres, with 'K T' tax code embossed on the side-1 label, front laminated Ernest J Day flipback sleeve, lined Emitex inner sleeve.
Condition : The vinyl is clean and glossy with a handful of noticeable marks, we are playing through these now and they give off a few tiny ticks or patches of static but this album plays very well, with some minor signs of distortion during louder moments - overall a nice clear and warm mono sound.
The labels are clean with some spindle wear to the centres. The Emitex inner sleeve has light wear/creasing from use and has completely split down one side.
The outer sleeve has a little corner rubbing and there is a small patch of laminate loss to the bottom right corner [see photo], there are a few small laminate edge lines visible as well as some thumbnails lines and further creasing down the opening edge, plus one small scuff to the front [see photo, just to the right of the 'Rubber Soul' text]. The text on the spine is completely unworn. The matt surface to the rear of the sleeve has some light signs of wear from handling and storage as well as a couple of small stains, and a few scuffs and marks to the flipback joint surfaces.
A very playable copy of this classic Beatles album.
