The Beatles ?– Rarities Label: Capitol Records ?– SHAL-12060 Format: Mono, 1st cover  Country: US Released: 24 Mar 1980
Vinyl: Very Good +   Really nice and clean and shiny. There are a few light needle marks noticeable under a bright light but you can't feel them to the touch. I played the first track 'Love Me Do' and it sounded great. I have not audio tested the rest of the album. Labels: Excellent Inner Sleeve. Very Good +   No writing, tears or significant marks. 4 inch splits to bottom, left and right of sleeve edges Gatefold Sleeve: Excellent. Just the odd small stain. Most noticeably front cover bottom right. And inside gatefold on the left of George Harrison. See photo.

Notes This album is a compilation of tracks that were considered rare in the US at the time. B-sides and other tracks that hadn't been on any Capitol album, different mixes etc. 
Also known for reproducing the infamous "butcher shot" for the first time since Yesterday & Today in 1966, on the inside gatefold. 
There are 3 cover variations. This one is #1:  -The photo on the front is raised/embossed  -There is no George Martin producer credit on the back lower left corner  -Under "Helter Skelter" there is a text error that states "...so you don't hear the classic Lennon statement...
