The Beatles Related Late 60s Early 70s John Fiddy Orchestra Apple Acetate VG+
Rare UK Acetate released in late 60's early 70's on Apple Records. No Cat. number or Matrix numbers to be seen.
This acetate was found in Larry Page's (Record producer, label owner, manager) record collection. Orchestral pop in style with some light funkier moments driven by the rhythm section.
John Charles Fiddy was a British guitarist and composer who inhabited the worlds of session work and library music from easy listening to cool library funk. He studied chemistry at Nottingham University during the late fifties and in the early sixties, leading the Nottingham University Jazz Orchestra for a while.
Kicking off his career as a session guitar and bass player, John Fiddy remained one of the leading figures in UK library music production to this very day. Pop and rock sessions were his major source of income in the late 60’s and early 70’s, featuring on hits for such stellar personalities as Lulu, Petula Clark and, erm, Dana before bass playing stints in bands like the Shadows and ‘acquired taste’ progsters Uriah Heap, and at the same time moving into the world of composition that would lead to his success in music publishing, taking time out only to produce Nottingham Forest’s novelty hit single in 1979 between delivering the themes for TV shows such as Mork & Mindy, and ‘professional-scouse’ non-comedy Bread. He also used the pseudonyms Jean-Pierre Fabien (sometimes stylized as Jean Pierre Fabien), Peter Guntherson, Jean-Claude Madonne (sometimes stylized as Jean Claude Madonne), Barry Ryder, and Tom Stanswick.

There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Acetate has some light scuff marks that cause some crackles and some pops in parts and is in VG+ condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
