Welcome to 20th Century Collectables

 

The Beatles – Revolver 1966 – UK 1st issue dating from the initial release date of 5th August 1966 on the yellow & black Parlophone label. PMC 7009. Comes in an original stickered G&L sleeve

 

20th century collectables is pleased to offer this investment grade copy of Revolver from August 1966. Played only twice!

 

There are 3 UK issues which can lay claim to being original UK first pressings. There is of course the 606-1 version which was withdrawn after only a morning’s production to be quickly replaced with the correct and official 606-2 version. Of the 606-2 version, there were two label variants; one with the abbreviated ‘Dr. Robert’, the other with the correctly spelled ‘Doctor Robert’. Oddly enough the sleeves were never amended and the ‘Dr. Robert’ spelling on the sleeves remained for several years. This copy being offered here for sale is the 606-2 version with the correct spelling of Doctor Robert and positively dates to August 1966.

Stunning audio of this Beatles masterpiece. Completely flawless and one for the audiophile. Needless to say the record does not jump or stick.

Labels: MINT-

A superb set of fresh looking labels with evidence that the record has only been played once or twice.

Visual: MINT-

Totally unmarked with only the faintest of whispy sleeve removal marks visible under a strong halogen desklight. The heavy duty vinyl lies 100% flat on the turntable.

Cover

EXCELLENT+

Completely unworn however there is yellowing and some natural ageing to the front panel which prevents a higher grading. The front panel is completely pristine and retains its high gloss laminate. The back panel is free from any writing and has the original shop sticker still intact. All flipbacks are intact and the spine is uncrushed.
