About the 606-1 revolver release: First pressing, August 5, 1966. “Remix 11” mispressing. Side 2 matrix no.: XEX 606-1 have “Remix 11” of “Tomorrow Never Knows”. When “Revolver” was initially mixed a different master for “Tomorrow Never Knows” was sent off to be pressed. This mix is known as ‘Remix 11’. Although subtle, it is different to the standard ‘Remix 8’ which was ultimately to replace it. The story goes that each group member was given the first copies from the production line and John went to listen to it. But, it turned out that he was unhappy with the mix or that the wrong one had been used and he informed George Martin. Production was then stopped as the new masters were cut and the pressing plates were replaced. First presses have a side 2 matrix number of XEX 606-1 whereas the standard presses have XEX 606-2 and beyond.

ABOUT THIS COPY:
THIS IS A VERY NICE, EARLIEST POSSIBLE , EXAMPLE OF MONO REVOLVER. ALL IN VERY GOOD WORKING ORDER...
The original mono laminated sleeve is in very good order; no rips or major staining; no pen marks/names. A bit of creasing on edges and top of flipback on rear as you wpould expect - really great condition overall. Lovely readable spine (see photos)
Original plain 'made in great britain' inner sleeve - is in excellent condition, clean, a few creases, no tears.
Labels both sides have a few centre squiggles from past use, no tears or pen marks . KT side one
The vinyl isn't perfect visually, but pretty good for its age; there are minimal surface lines on both sides (I have tried to capture a few in photos), but very very light.  There are no feelable scratches , or deep standout scuffs/marks, so it is excellent for its age
The wear and tear causes a bit of background crackle; nothing overpowering, mainly between tracks ,and it still sounds great for age and condition - the clip of TAXMAN gives a fair idea of how powerful it sounds generally... no jumps or loud clicks/pops!
PLEASE VIEW ALL THE PHOTOS AND THE CLIP OF TAXMAN - SOUNDS GREAT!  ON A 10-DAY AUCTION , NO RESERVE...OR A VERY APPEALING BUY IT NOW PRICE ?...BEFORE BIDS START...PERHAPS...???
