Description
The is an original 1st pressing release of The Beatles 'Revolver' album which I understand is rare because of the 606-1 markings on side 2. It has the standard yellow block writing Parlophone label and "All rights of the manufacturer" message around the edge of the label now starts with "The Gramophone Co. Ltd." The label DOES have "Sold in the U.K..." statement. Below is what I picked up from a Beatles collector:
"There is a much rarer mono version [very] first pressing, hastily withdrawn, which had a different mix of "Tomorrow Never Knows" (known as "remix 11") this has a matrix number on side 2 of XEX 606-1"
The vinyl is in lovely condition. It has a few light marks, but nothing that take away quality and is amazing for it's age and very little play.
Side 1 - XEX 605 -2 Side 2 - XEX 606 -1
The sleeve is very solid and intact with no damage. However, it does have some writing under the lads names "John, Ringo, Paul, George" which I believe my mother did. Also, at the top it has some more writing. I've tried to show this in the photos.
This album have been with the family for a long time and belonged to my mother who was a Beatles nut. She had many albums, but these were part of her special collection which she didn't play and was collecting. I'm now selling them as I need the money for a house deposit which I know she'd have liked. More importantly though, it would be nice for them to go to another Beatles fan to look after for future generations.
I would prefer the albums stayed together if possible. I live in a village called Overton (RG25) if anyone would like to view them before bidding. I've been advised not to post outside of the UK so UK bidders only please.
