Description

The Beatles, Revolver, Genuine mono first press, RARE, withdrawn remix 11.
This is the super rare version of the classic album - it was sold for the first few days with the WRONG version of Tomorrow Never Knows (known as remix 11). These are identified by the side 2 matrix XEX 606-1. It was very quickly recut and replaced with a different matrix - the much more commonly found original version.
These are hard to come by.
This one is from my own personal collection which I am now downsizing - it's been stored for years in an acid free sleeve and box and barely ever played by me. I've had it for about ten years.
It's good overall - though with a few imperfections.
Here is a detailed - and honest - breakdown (along with the pictures) so you know what you're getting ...
The cover is very good for its age - sturdy and strong with flip backs in tact. The spine is also readable and good. There are a few expected age related slight creases, mainly around the side opening. But good overall.
The inner sleeve is a little worn with a split.
The vinyl, visually, has been pretty well looked after but is used … the light shows a good number of hairlines and scuffs. The labels are good both sides. Pretty minimal spindle wear, though with a few lights marks can be detected around the hole in strong light.
Playing wise, it was fine all the way through except - on my machine - it stuck on Here, There and Everywhere. My machine isn't great, however (a 1980s Sony hi-fi system - not specialist at all) so you may have more luck with an advanced system and a good clean of the vinyl. But I can't guarantee a full, clean play - though I hope it does for you.
Side 1 matrix is XEX 605-2 and the stamps are 7/AO
Side 2 has the crucial XEX 606-1 with 1/AT stamps.
Grading a record is a subjective process so I try to be as honest as i can with both the photos and the description. If you have any questions please email me in advance as we all want the same thing - a smooth and happy transaction!!
Overall then this is a good, solid copy - albeit with that one stick on my machine. But still a super rare item - and a cool addition to any collection.
Thanks for looking and happy bidding.
*Please note that the postage quoted (2nd class signed) is for the UK only. Anywhere else and that's obviously subject to change*
