Matrix numbers XEX 606-1 and XEX 605 - 2

1st press of this album. Features the "mix 11" version of Tomorrow Never Knows which was quickly pulled from production when Lennon wanted to change it. Also has the misspelling of Dr Robert on cover and label. Tax code KT. Small mono on back of cover. I'm not much of an expect on The Beatles but from my research online and other listings I believe all the above info makes it a rare 1st press of the album.

Cover is in very good condition There is some wear to the opening and some discoloration along that edge. Some minor creasing to the laminate. Some minor wear to corners and edges. The spine is in good condition. Back cover is very good, some minor wear but still looks good. Seems to have been something written at the top but has mostly faded away.

The record looks in very good condition and the vinyl still looks good. There are light surface marks on both sides most of these are only really noticeable on a close inspection but there are quite a few of them. There are a couple of more noticeable marks on both sides, one of which is a few inches long. These are deeper than the others but don't seem to alter the play. There are also a couple of small white dots on side one with the Taxman song which causes some pops but still plays through with out jumping. There is spindle wear to both labels but they still look very good.

I have played this record a couple of times before listing and would grade it as in very good condition. There is some light background noise and crackle through out but it doesn't over shadow the music which still sounds nice and clear. As mentioned there are some pops at the end of Taxman. Side B plays a little better than side A.

Comes with the plain white "patent pending" inner sleeve which is in good condition with some ageing to paper.

An all round very good condition example of a rare and collectible record.
