Description

I did have this listed at a higher price but upon further inspection I was not happy with my initial thoughts. Remember in future to put glasses on for a start! Anyway I have made changes to the description and lowered the price.

The Beatles White Album France SMO BIEM Top Loader is a first pressing issue. All -1 matrix but as it’s French it states -21 the 2 is the France location number only. Very Good to Very Good plus.

It is mastered differently from the UK version. Has more bass, and more so than the German first issue. Less mid tones and to my ears, feels like a S curve has been added to the master. Sounds more modern with a bit more top end.

Has a “P” in the dead wax, either meaning Pepe who mastered it or Pathe.

This is a first issue and not to be confused with the later French pressing PCS 7067-8 which is a reissue. This copy came out well before the oil crisis, 1968 and is not affected by the vinyl recycling that occurred in the 70’s

Sound is great, no issues except on Long Long Long there is a circular click and some clicks etc in the quieter bits, beginning of Martha My Dear for example but nothing obtrusive. However it may play differently on a different set up. Under a bright white light there are marks nothing serious but they are there. The cover is very nice and is in a make shift protective cover, not sure if it can be removed. I’ve just left it as it’s protecting the cover well. The cover is German which is what the French White Albums were released in. Photos are complete and in very good condition. A slight bend on the corners on a couple but nothing bad.

The lyric sheet, poster again in very good condition but does have plasticine on the 4 corners. Someone had it on the wall. Some small mottling also but doesn’t detract. Comes with the original inners, good condition has a slight rip in the bottom where the records weight has gone through and some folding. I have tried to show all this on the photos.

I have included two new black inners and also I I have placed inside the orginal inners polyethylene sleeves.

A great record and sound very different to the UK pressing. Will add to your collection. Overall a stunning LP.

The Beatles Let It Be LP Japan AP series Red Apple in mint condition and the cover is in Excellent condition , a little bit of the black on the sides has come away, shown on photos . Plays great and looks great. Comes with medallion obi-strip & the second gold obi-strip to commemorate their Academy Award win. Unfortunately someone along the way has put a mark on one of the obi’s, over the price. I have shown this on the photos also. Please check. This is the earlier to my knowledge, first pressing with black vinyl as it states Y 2000 but it looks as though the very original record store has updated the selling price to Y 2200, a sticker can be seen on back. This was the price of the later 2nd pressing. I guess he covered over the price on the front. A great sounding album that has that early Japanese sound that differs from the UK releases and is superior to the later Japanese releases. Please note this is not the first pressing red vinyl, as can be seen on the photos.

The Beatles Revolver Holland Stereo is in Near Mint condition. The LP is a first pressing from UK metal parts. 605-1 606-1. The sleeve is in excellent plus condition. It is the correct cover and not a swap. Holland did release a lot of Stereo Revolver LPs in Mono sleeves. Very probably just a mistake. However this cover still has the orginal correction sticker over the PMC to show PCS. It also has a shop sticker above it. Shown on photos. The cover is Habo A’ dam. Has Dr Robert listing on both album sleeve and record label. Not the later correct Doctor Robert credit.
The pressing is from the original UK mother & stamper. Sounds to my ears like the UK first pressing but at a fraction of the cost especially in this amazing condition. Emitex inner sleeve is in good condition just slightly creased as shown.

Reason for sale, I just need to cut down on my collection so a few will be going on sale.
