Description
The Beatles Revolver 1966 Rare Original Mono XEX 606-1 Withdrawn 1st Pressing
This is a fine example of the rare very first pressing/issue of the iconic LP featuring the withdrawn mix of "Tomorrow Never Knows", denoted by the Side 2 Matrix No. XEX 606-1.
The track was quickly replaced with a slightly different mix and Side 2 given a new Matrix Number.
Matrices: Side 1 XEX 605-2 / Side 2 XEX 606-1
Condition:-
Cover: VG+ (Garrod & Lofthouse) Just a couple of minor creases to spine edge and slight "bruising" to opening edges.
Inner Sleeve: Original, intact with mild staining.
Labels: Very clean, some spindle trails.
Vinyl Visual Side 1: One non-feelable and non-sounding mark - causes absolutely no issues - see photographs. Vinyl Visual Side 2: Just a couple of feint hairlines, again non-sounding.
Generally the record looks Excellent with a good sheen.
Vinyl Audio Side 1: I would grade VG+ / EX. Just a couple of minor clicks on "Eleanor Rigby". Vinyl Audio Side 2: Again graded VG+ / EX, with "Tomorrow Never Knows" sounding particularly impressive.
The record plays beautifully and is silent between tracks and on the run-ins and run-outs.
Happy to answer any questions.
