The Beatles - Revolver PMC 7009 Mono 2nd Pressing 1966 VG+/EX+/EX+

This is a 2nd pressing, but with the same label variants that exist on the 1st pressing.
Vinyl: VG+
This copy is still very crisp, bright and shiny, and the mono playback is absolutely stunning. There are hairlines from sleeve removal and 2-3 small surface scratches/scuffs on each side. Despite these, the record still plays beautifully clearly, with one exception.
Side 1 Track 4 (Love You To) has a very noticeable pop at the end of the intro, the result of a small scratch. This can cause the track to skip forward one groove on some turntables. You can see the scratch on the left side of the photo, level with the yellow Parlophone logo.
This record would grade a very high EX+ in terms of sound quality, but has been downgraded to VG+ due to this one track.
Cover/Sleeve: EX+
The cover is in superb condition, front and back. It’s a little yellowed with ageing but the corners are very tidy, with only minimal corner rub. The laminate is still very clean and shiny, and the only creases are tiny ones near the spine and a couple at the top and bottom.
There’s a tiny bit of sleeve rub on the back cover, and signs that a label was removed long ago around the PMC serial number. The pinched spine is still in great nick, no signs of squashing or bending. This is the Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd laminated flipback cover with a small ”mono” on the front and ”DR. ROBERT” on the back track listing.
The original inner sleeve is in excellent condition, with just a little discolouration/signs of ageing.
Labels: EX+
The labels are the ”sans serif” variant, with each track listed on its own line, and with ”DR. ROBERT” on the Side 2 listing. Both labels are in excellent condition, with spindle marks on each side but no other marks or flaws.
