Description
The Beatles "Revolver"
This is the US Stereo vinyl pressing on Capitol ST-2576 from 1966. It was #1 on Billboard for six weeks, starting on 9/10/66. This has topped some lists as the 'Best Album in Rock and Roll'.
I'll do my best to describe it's label and cover variations. The labels are black with color band around the edge. It does not have 'Subsidary' in the rim print. It has the 2nd label variation that credits the songs to 'John Lennon-Paul McCartney'. The matrix numbers are large hand etched : side one : ST1-2576 W7 #1 and side two : ST2-2576 W5 #1. I believe it is a Jacksonville pressing. On the back cover at bottom right there is a tiny '16' in a white box. It has a Capitol Records inner sleeve with light yellow background.
The songs are : Taxman, Eleanor Rigby, Love You To, Here There And Everywhere, Yellow Submarine, She Said She Said, Good Day Sunshine, For No One, I Want To Tell You, Got To Get You Into My Life, and Tomorrow Never Knows.
Overall Condition is : Cover is M- / Record is M
The gatefold cover is Mint minus with no ring wear, no writing, and no seam splits. There is light seam wear on the top seam. The vinyl looks mint and it plays mint. It looks like it's never been played !! ( There are two pictures showing how glossy and perfect the vinyl surface is ) The labels are perfect with no spindle marks ( there is a tiny fleck of white on the side two label, which is how it came from the factory).
This copy is too good to take to a record show and have people handle.
About Me :
I started collecting records in 1966. I started selling in Goldmine in 1985. I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby. And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon. My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.
Packaging :
I take great care on every package and I do each one personally. I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard. Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard. Together they are very strong and unbendable. ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! ) I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve. The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides.
Postage : Weight : 1 pound 10 ounces
You have to pay for the postage. I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office charges. There are no handling charges. This record will weigh 26 ounces ( 1 pound, 10 ounces ) when ready to ship. US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail. All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and an automatic email with the tracking number. Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International.
