Description

Beatles Revolver LP 1st pressing good condition for age very rare.

1966 day one mono pressing ,the rarest of the mono issues.

Matrix side 1 xex 605-2   side 2 xex 606-1

Cover and vinyl have the track DOCTOR ROBERT WITH THE  SPELLING DR.ROBERT.

ALSO HAS THE MIX11 Tommorow never knows track that was changed after day one pressings.

Its on the Parlophone yellow and black label with SOLD IN THE UK SUBJECT TO RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS,SEE PRICE LIST PRINTED ACROSS THE LABEL.

Rim has THE GRAMOPHONE CO LTD in all capitals.

Has emitex inner sleave ,I belieave to be original as it is somewhat yellowed.

The cover has some wear see photos back ,front and spine in good condition. It is the Garrod & Lofthouse ltd cover. The folds are still completeley stuck down.

The vinyl itself plays well with some obvious background noise.The first track on each side is noisy

for a few seconds and then settles down and is most enjoyable to listen to.

This item is being listed because of its rarity ie 1st day pressing with  track mix11 ,spelling error or not ?

3 Original mono versions were released as below :-

1st (this one) matrix stamper side2 xex 606-1 correct track listing Dr. Robert ,(the earliest issue)rarest day one only.

2nd matrix stamper side2 xex 606-2  track spelt Doctor Robert.

3rd matrix stamper side2 xex 606-3 track spelt Dr. Robert

Each one has a different version of the track Tomorrow never knows.

Beware of some claiming to be first issue but specifying the wrong or no matrix stampers

Extra special care will be taken with packaging of this item it will be packed stiff lp mailer and then inside a larger box to protect it from being damaged.

Mother/stampers for this lp are 1 G side 1    1 R for side 2 which I believe makes it one of the first 300 ever produced as stamper 1 G for side 1 would be changed after 300 pressings.
