Description
An original Beatles album (VG+) produced by Parlophone (PMC 1267) in Mono. This is the second pressing Loud Cut version released in the UK on 03 Dec 1965.
This record has been very well looked after and is in excellent condition with some very minor surface marks and one visible light scratch mark on side one (please see the last photo, it was really hard to take this shot as the mark is so fine).
Near perfect yellow and black Parlophone labels on both sides. Matrix numbers: XEX 579 - 1 and XEX 580 - 1. There is no KT tax code but labels are printed in the original Times New Roman font.
Note: The matrix-1 cuttings of the mono UK Rubber Soul are reported to be different from subsequent versions (so-called Loud Cut), in that after they were issued, the EMI cutting engineers were requested to cut down on the bass, since early buyers complained of skipping needles due to mis-tracking. Early first-pressing copies were pressed with loud mixing version (whose inner groove says XEX 579-1 and XEX 580-1). The common issue were pressed with normal mixing version (whose inner groove says XEX 579-4 and 580-4). [Source yokono.co.uk]
Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve is also in very good condition bearing in mind it is 50 years old (VG). Some laminate creases, no splitting on the edges or spine where title is clearly visible. One corner has been scuffed and torn right on the seam by less than an inch but this could easily be repaired.
Comes with the original Emitex inner sleeve.
