Description

Up for sale is a beautifully complete, highly collectible 1965 original UK second mono pressing of The Beatles' masterpiece album 'Rubber Soul' on Parlophone Records (PMC 1267).
This copy features all the correct early manufacturing hallmarks that collectors look for, indicating it was produced right at the initial end-of-year 1965 production block.
Pressing & Matrix Information:Side 1 Matrix: XEX 579-4Side 2 Matrix: XEX 580-4
Both sides feature the original "The Gramophone Co Ltd" rim text layout along with the "Sold in U.K. Subject to Resale Price Conditions" legal text string.
Publisher Credit: "Northern Songs, NCB"Sleeve & Packaging (Garrod & Lofthouse First Issue):Front-laminated flipback jacket manufactured by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd featuring the distinctively rare early square foldover flipback corners and the "pinched spine" top and bottom edges.
Features the early typographical variation containing the "No:" abbreviation on the back text block ("Available in Stereo No: PCS 3075").Includes the original 1965 EMI "Important" white paper inner sleeve with care instructions
Condition Report:Vinyl Disc: Visual grade is a solid Very Good Plus (VG+). The vinyl retains a brilliant mirror-like factory gloss sheen across both sides with only minor surface dust and very faint, superficial paper scuffs. No deep, feelable marks.
Sleeve Jacket: Very Good Plus (VG+). Brilliant lamination across the front face with light feathering creases near the spine edge. The unlaminated reverse side shows minor handling coloration and age-toning along the opening frame, keeping text completely clear. Spine text is completely crisp, visible, and uncrushed
Inner Sleeve: Good to Very Good. Displays typical vintage storage yellowing and minor crinkling near the opening lips, but structurally complete without total split seams.
An incredibly honest, completely intact British Merseybeat-era piece looking for a solid new home. Will be shipped securely in a dedicated cardboard record mailer with stiffeners. Thanks for looking and happy bidding!
