Description

An original 3rd press of Rubber Soul on the UK Parlohone label. Matrix 5/5. Stampers 1-GO/1-GA. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) An absolute corker and has seen only light use. Under close inspection we couldn't make out more than a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT+ of playback. This LP would really suit someone just plain and simple looking for absolute 'best audio'. This is most certainly in the top-three Rubber Soul's I've listened to. The reason is straight forward..it's still close to the original masters and it is a very well preserved low-mileage copy. As a result the audio has a presence and transparency you just don't get on the average copy. Even the low-key tracks are perfectly reproduced..e.g. Michelle. Intros and inbetweens are absolutely silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Interference is totally absent. We didn't detect more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments [literally]. A fantastic rendition - FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. A beautifully shiny front with barely a crease on it. The rear has escaped much of the usual fading, but there is just a touch of foxing down in the bottom right corner. Edge wear is light and the spine is pretty much entirely intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A very fine example indeed.
