Description

An original 1966 pressing of RS on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 5/5. Stampers 2GM/1G. So, side 2 comes direct from the 1st stamper on this matrix. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original G&L mono cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) In nice condition and has not been abused. There are some light scuffing patches each side. So, don't expect a perfectly clean looking surface. Thankfully it does mostly seem like low-level superficial stuff - not heavy marking.  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a level of playback between VERYGOOD & VERYGOOD+  with deviation. A decent player in parts, but is not a clean player. Expect some background crackle here and there. Mostly it is lower level. But it is a bit more elevated in the quieter tracks... like Norwegian Wood & Nowhere Man & Wait. There are a few pops early on side 2. Overall a solid original copy - but it will not suit someone who is in any way fussy on the audio side.

Cover (Ex-) A very nice looking example of this original cover. A clean and flat front cover with only a couple of slight creases. The rear has escaped the worst of the ageing process - it's looking pretty tidy. Edge wear is minor except for a one inch patch in the middle of the top edge [jut starting to wear through]. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Lightly aged. No splits though.
