Description
PMC 1267 an original 2nd pressing on the UK Parlophone label from 1965. Matrix -4/-4. The record comes housed in its original Garrod & Lofthouse cover and inclues the Emitex inner sleeve.
Cover (Ex+) They don't turn up every day like this...an original cover in this condition is a very rare thing indeed. The front cover is shiny like new with hardly a single crease or mark to speak of. The rear, as you can see from the pics, is in terrific condition too. Nearly all covers exhibit some sort of fading on the rear - this one is very close to white. No markings. Flibacks 100% intact. The spine is fully intact and all text fully readable.
Vinyl (Ex) Has also been very well cared for and only looks to have seen minimal use. Under close visual inspection I can see nothing more than a couple of ultra light marks - nothing vaguely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very quiet and the audio come across with minimal interference. The only noticeable interference was during 'My Michelle' where a couple of light crackles are evident - thus preventing me giving this LP a higher grading. Please note - the actual audio playback quality is top-notch. I can't honestly recall hearing a clearer rendition of this album. You can hear the silence behind the music and all the intricate details right down to light percussion.
Emitex (Vg+) Fully intact, minimal ageing. 'Rubber Soul' written in biro.
