Up for auction is a rare and strange Beatles artifact. Here we have a copy of Beatles' Rubber Soul on Parlophone from the UK with yellow labels, a great and early copy of one of the best records of all time. But what makes this curious is that the date is somehow wrong! This album came out in 1965 and every other copies correctly lists that date. For some reason both labels here list 1962 as the copyright date! The matrices match other early copies and the cover has the same laminated cover (although the color for "Rubber Soul" does look a little more orange than normal). Unsure what the deal is with this copy, if it's an extremely rare misprint or a strange unaccounted for bootleg, but either way this thing is surely hard to come by and would be at home in any serious Beatles collector's collection.
Grade: Cover: VG- laminate is peeling slightly on front towards the opening, crease on upper right hand corner, back cover has name stamps Record: VG has marks but plays nice throughout with some background noise here and there
