Recovery Through Vinyl is pleased to present The Beatles ‘Rubber Soul’ Stereo 1st press for sale.

Matrix Side 1: YEX 178-2
Matrix Side 2: YEX 179-2
Inner: original inner present
Vinyl Condition: VG. Number of small surface marks but none of which are feelable and do not affect playback which is excellent. Both sides have spindle marks which are more noticeable on side 2. There is also some red writing on the yellow parlaphone on side 2 label.
Cover condition: VG. I have classed this as VG as there are no tears, it is fully intact, no lifting on flipback and spine is readable with no splits. However, there are some wear as a result of age. Creases are on the front of sleeve and smaller amount on back. Discolouration on the rear especially at the top flip over and a mark next to Rubber Soul on the back. Some writing on back in red felt tip top left.
Inner: present but well used with creases and a small tear. Probably G condition.

Pressing Identifiers:
This first stereo press of Rubber Soul has the following identifiers to establish the correct pressing
- Times Roman print type on labels
-loose thread on John’s shoulder still present in cover photo.
-Stereo wording on labels larger than later presses
- 12LL on back of cover bottom right
This record has been cleaned using my humminbird guru and has come up really clean and presentable. I have also play tested this lp and note the sound is very good with some small crackles in between songs. The cover is obviously showing signs of 60 years but given the lack of rips, tears and that the flip back is all intact I am happy to give this a VG.
All items will be sent the day after listing ends unless this falls on a weekend in which it will be sent the next working day. All items will be sent in a strong vinyl mailer to preserve the item.
