Description

An original copy of RS on UK Parlophone from 1966. Matrix 5/5. Many folk rate the 5/5 as the best for audio on RS. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover with exposed flipbacks. We also have an original 60's inner sleeve - but from Decca. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of the light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. So many copies of RS look good to the eye - but seriously disappoint on playback. But I'm pleased to report this one of the better preserved copies I've got my hands on. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A very precise and impressive rendition throughout. Unusually clean for what was a very popular and heavily played title. Even those low-key fussy tracks like 'My Life' & 'Norwegian' & 'Michelle' are really clean. But precious little background at all throughout the LP. Just one miniscule tick during 'My Car'. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex-) In lovely condition with a few thumbnail creases over toward the opening edge. Please note when printing the image is a couple of millimetres too low. Consequently you get a white bar appearing along the top edge. The rear has avoided most of the ageing process and looks better than most original copies. All flipbacks are intact and secure. Edge wear is very slight and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Minimal ageing. Bag present. No splits.
