Description

An original 1st issue of RS on the UK Parlophone label from Q1 1966. Matrix 4/1. The earliest pressing is the 1/1 loud-cut, but this copy comes hot on the heels of this whilst they were transitioning to the 4/4 - official 2nd issue. Likely to have been turned around quickly at Xmas 1965 or in Q1 1966. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In super condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a touch of light static in 'Michelle' - which is very common. Other than that it's a very decent clean rendition.
Cover (Vg) Might grade higher but for the issue on the spine. Lovely shiny front with only a bit of creasing apparent. The rear has escaped the usual fading process - no issues. Edge wear is reasonably light except for the spine. There's a two inch section at the middle of the spine where it has worn through. Don't expect to make out much of the text on the spine. Overall the cover still retains very good rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Fairly aged and a couple of seam splits have been taped up.
