Description
First UK Mono pressing (3rd run) of 'Rubber Soul' (PMC 1267) ....the sound is warm, clear, detailed, and perfectly balanced.
Cover: Excellent(minus).....some inoffensive wear to a couple of the corners and some minor creases.... the lamination still looks great as does the back cover ( which is usually found in terrible condition) There is a name faintly written at the top.
Original Inner-Sleeve: Excellent(minus)....nice shape and (surprisingly!) without any seam splits.
Record: Very Good ~ Excellent(minus) ....Under bright lights one can see several hairlines and scuffs, but due to the superb pressings done throughout the 60s at EMI, they have little bearing on the clear and detailed Mono audio. Most of the songs play VG+ to near Excellent. The only song that grades lower (Good) is 'Michele'; which, unfortunately, seems to be a very common occurrence with most vintage UK pressings of this album. Overall though, this is a solid playing copy of this timeless Beatles classic.
